What we do

STAR SOURCE LTD provides software development, IT services, data processing, hosting and related technology services to businesses and customers through online platforms. In practice that means two connected things: we write software, and we operate the servers and network paths that software runs on.

Those two sides tend to be split between different suppliers, which is where a lot of problems live — the application team blames the network, the hosting provider blames the code, and the customer waits. Keeping both under one roof means a problem gets measured rather than argued about.

How we work

The company operates remotely and serves UK and international online markets. There is no public office to visit; our registered office in London is our formal legal address and correspondence reaches us there.

We take on work we can actually deliver and say so when something is outside what we do. For the same reason, this website does not carry customer logos, testimonials, awards or performance statistics: we publish what we can stand behind.

Privacy as a default

A meaningful part of our work involves connectivity and networking software, which is an area where the amount of data a service retains matters a great deal. Our position is that a system should hold what it needs to function and no more, and that this should be decided at design time rather than patched in later.
